july 17: staring out at a speeding countryside, meeting James Bond, and staring at people staring out at a speeding countryside

The man sitting on the other man and holding up the "number one" sign insisted that he looked like James Bond. And, all of his friends back up his claim.
I asked them which of the past five (almost six) James Bonds did he most resemble. I got a resounding "George Lazenby". Just kidding. They did not say "George Lazenby", but the one and only "Sean Connery".
I see the resemblance.

Lesson of the day: The man who protects the world against evil villains on a daily basis and who has full access to the most high-tech, stealthy modes of transportation ever conceived, still likes to take time to enjoy long train rides through Southern India

OK, I am confused. Today is 26 July, yet I go to this Blog and the newest post is dated July 17. How do I know that this isn't some fictional account that it is taking you a week or so to come up with? ... and if I am not mistaken, aren't most of the posts coming on days in the middle of the week when you should be working?...and then we get silence on the weekends. Whats up with that?

breakdown time for a disgruntled viewer:

nine-day lag explanation: i didn't have regular internet access for the first two weeks. i didn't want the first posting to be "june 27-july 12: blah blah blah". that is a 17-day time span. each of those days needs its own personal time to shine.

middle of the week when i should be working explanation: i am 12.5 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time. if you add 12.5 hours to the time stamps, i should be sleeping. but instead, i am up giving you something to read when YOU should be working. if i'm not mistaken you made this comment at 9:33am on a Wednesday morning.

silence on the weekends explanation: i don't think this needs an explanation.
