june 30-july 2: wandering, new faces, and eating
My room is pretty nice. I have toilet, which is always good. I have a shower. I have a sink. Just thought you would like to know what hygiene facilities i have in my room. I am well taken care of in the personal hygiene area.

I spent my first day meeting people from the Bridge Foundation and trying to stay awake. It's tricky trying to give your best first impression when all you want to do is sleep.

The following night, after leaving TBF I ventured into the night. I wandered through the Bangalore streets and found a nice restaurant. Not knowing Kannada, the local dialect, I russian-rouletted the menu under the "veg" section. The random selection turned out to be very good.
Lesson of the day: It is safe to play russian-roulette with the "veg" section. I have played it many times now, and the food is always great.

Nice view. I like the external wiring and plumbing - easy access for repairs.
What does it smell like from your window?
it smells good. so far everywhere i have been in India has smelled very good. my nose is staying very happy.
the main street is over the building on the pictures left-hand side. my window looks out at the center of the block, no streets.
Is it really a one-room room or are you just being dramatic? I mean is the toilet in the one-room room? or is it in it's own room? BTW if it even has a stall to protect your modesty, you have 2 rooms.
good point. but i am not giving it 2-room status. at most, 1.25-room.
